One thing about having the newest version...
« on: April 14, 2013, 01:03:56 PM »
I dig having Android 4.2.2 but it's not got it's hazards... That is, I've tried several apps that just don't work.  After emailing the programmers it appears that they have yet to 'catch up' with the newest versions of Android.  So although I like being up to date, it's not always the best version for all apps out there... Frustrating! Google makes some incremental changes and now all the programmers have to re-write code to catch up.  We'll see how long it takes 4.2.2 to be more 'universal'...

I understand your frustration radio but personally I'd say, if an application developer hasn't "caught up" then their application isn't worth crap...
4.2.2 has been around long enough for developers to work with or around issues with this iteration of Android as the case may be and if a developer hasn't resolved any issues within their application then IMHO they don't take Android seriously as an OS.

Damn, KLP is out later this year...

More often than not any good application available has it's alternatives.

I agree with jay. What app are you having trouble with?

If 4.2.2 had just come out I would understand but its been awhile.

I always used Google translate for my dictionary. Not sure about alternatives to the other apps.

Ya, I've got GT loaded on there now and it works pretty neat.  I'll try using it a bit when we go down to Puerto Vallarta later this week for a lil vacation time...
