A strange line on Nexus 4 screen
« on: March 21, 2013, 07:40:43 AM »
I've got my new Nexus 4 for a few weeks, everything was fine until I found that my bluetooth doesn't work that well as many users have experienced. Another odd is found today when I was scrolling on my screen and noticed that there is a strange line on the left side of the screen next to + and - signs (the attached picture may display it at the bottom of the picture). It's clearer if the background is bright. I wonder what that could be...It's new and I have taken care of it quite nicely, never falls, never get wet. I'm thinking to call Google Play customer service tomorrow and ask for replacement. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that Paul.

I can see the line, it's definitely not on the screen protector is it? Difficult to see from the pic.

Looks like the screen sticker you left on it. Take that off and if its still there call Google and if its not buy an actual screen protector if you wish. I don't use them though.

It's probably the so-called "screen burn in" where the pictures or graphics you have viewed for a long time are stuck in the screen. There are many apps in the Play Store that can help you solve this problem but if it doesn't work, you might want to remove the included "screen protecting plastic". If that still doesn't work you might actually need a replacement unit from Google. #YoshiDrei##
