Only last week we had a price drop of $100 on the Nexus 4 on Google Play and today there's word as well as proof above that the 8GB version is indeed sold out.   Furthermore, if a correspondence between tech site 'TheVerge' is evidence enough, apparently at least the 8GB model is not coming back.  Speculation is running rampant if this is a sign that a new Nexus phone is on the way or if perhaps just the 8GB model is finished.  The 16GB model is still available on the site.  The Nexus 4 was released in October 2012 and thus we're coming up on the one year anniversary.  Much speculation has swirled about whether a new Nexus, either called the New Nexus 4 (staying consistent with the New Nexus 7 branding) or perhaps a Nexus 5 will be introduced soon.  The LG G2 has been discussed as a possible template for such a new Nexus phone but so far now reliable leak or info has surfaced at all, which is surprising considering how many people would be eager to learn about the Nexus 4's successor.
